Even if its true that the money is in the marketing, marketing is only a part of your business. You can focus on only one part of your business at a time. Meanwhile other part suffer. Ideally, focus on the part in which you have the most skill and passion.
Think of your internet business like a car for a moment. When your engine fails, you go to a mechanic -- you don't buy an engine repair course. Low on fuel, service station. Tires worn, tire shop. Marketing not working i.e. money not flowing, go to a marketer. You don't have to learn marketing to make money online quickly.
Let people who are passionate about marketing and good at it do their job for you. You may think you are passionate about marketing, but if you haven't excelled at marketing within a year or two, you're probably not one of the passionate ones who learn for the joy and intrigue, not for the money. More likely, you want to make money and live your dreams, and you think learning marketing will get you there.
You might think you want to be like Kern, Pagan or Reese, but you may just want the money. The top marketers love marketing, pyschology, persuasion, selling... When they buy a marketing course do you think it collects dust? On the other hand, a guitar course might collect dust, because they are not passionate about it.
The key to accelerating your business: rather than waiting while you force yourself to learn marketing, consider hiring an experienced marketer to create a money-making marketing plan for your business. No matter how good your product is, without effective marketing, you won't sell. (But the converse -- no matter how poor your product is, marketing will save it -- may not be true.) For your website to actually sell, it needs great marketing.
